Lucy Chen

Owner & Director

Ms. Lucy has a master’s degree in Education. She has been working in the educational field since 1992. She truly enjoys her work and implements creativity at YouCan Center. She encourages the independence and creativity that students can carry throughout their academic careers. She believes that students at a young age can be molded with the proper care and guidance. She implements the nurturing component as much as possible. Her dedication in her work always shows!

Harry Wang

Assistant Director & Group Leader

Mr. Harry is a computer technology specialist and a teacher at YouCan Center since 2017. He believes classroom technology adoption is essential to both engaging students and preparing them for the future.

Joan Digby

Supervisor

Dr. Digby was a professor of English and Honors College Director. She earned her B. A. and Ph.D. from New York University and is the winner of several awards for teaching, including the Founders Award from the National Collegiate Honors Council. She is the author of many books and her poetry has been translated into several languages, including Chinese.

Nelina Campbell

Lead Teacher

Ms. Campbell is one of our most popular teachers. She is licensed and currently works at PS 225. She has been working at YouCan Center since September 2017. Currently, she specializes in ELA and English composition.

Muskan Aamir

Tutoring Instructor

Ms. Aamir is an Accounting major at City College. She loves to work with children, and helps them reach their full potential. She has worked at YouCan since February 2020.

Nikki Yu

Art and Tutoring Instructor

Nikki graduated with a BFA in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts. She has worked with the youth for more than 2 years as an art teacher and believes that art and education is an integral part for childhood development. They hope to help more children in their creative and academic prowesses.

Ms. Angel is a future educator. She majors in Early Childhood Education at Brooklyn College, and loves working with children of all ages. She believes in creating a safe and comfortable environment for students & is passionate about supporting them, as well as their families.

Mr. Simon is an information technology specialist. He studied Computer Information Systems at Baruch College. He is a dedicated and compassionate tutor who believes that the integration of technology in the classroom is crucial for the academic success of students.

Mr. June is a Computer Science major at Brooklyn College. He loves to work with young kids and enjoys playing with them. He has been working at YouCan Center since July 2020.

Mr. Ricky majored in Accounting at Brooklyn College. He enjoys helping students with their homework and artwork. When it comes to art there is no such thing as perfection, we are eternal students always looking to improve from another’s perspective.
